Job Overview
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians for a commercial new construction project in Quogue, NY. This role involves full electrical system installation in a fast-paced, professional jobsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install conduit (pipe), wiring, circuits, circuit breakers, and electrical panels
- Lighting & Power: Install high-voltage lighting systems, energy management systems, and commercial power equipment
- Specialized Systems: Install data cabling, fire alarm systems, and security systems
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, as well as OSHA safety regulations

- Journeyman-level experience in commercial electrical construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and lead when needed
- Reliable transportation
- OSHA 30 REQUIRED
Tools & PPE
Tools Required:
- Standard electrician hand tools
- Cordless drill
- Wire cutters and related equipment
PPE Required:
- Hi-Vis vest
- Hard hat
- Work boots
- Protective eyewear
The hourly rate for this position is $45-$49/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
