Job Description

As a journeyman electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support electrical contractors throughout the Sebring, FL area. Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

• Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify problems and make repairs as needed.

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.

• Working knowledge of conduit bend and wire pulls. Install conduit for wiring.

• Working knowledge of electrical systems, machines and tool. Including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.

• Familiarity with National Electric Codes, electrical theory.

• Familiarity with high voltage three phase circuits, generators, transformers and switch gear.

• Ability to use various testing devices related to electrical and mechanical trades.

• Answer emergency calls quickly, assess the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfort.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience of lock-out/tag-out program with regards to OSHA 29 CFR 19190.147 control of hazardous equipment

Qualifications & Experience

Must show eligibility to work in U.S.A.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Completed electrician apprenticeship and valid Journeyman License.
Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to read blueprints.
Minimum of 5-year relevant work experience in an industrial setting.
Must have PPE and basic tools to complete tasks in this trade.

The hourly rate for this position is $-$42.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
