Job Description

As a Lead Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support the GC on a new construction build in Dalton, GA. Responsibilities

· Complete a variety of hands-on carpentry and construction tasks as needed around the job site.

· Oversee and coordinate extra help as necessary, supervising between 1 and 15 skilled laborers at a time.

· Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.

· Maintain clear communication with the site supervisor and other team members.

· Uphold all safety guidelines and company policies on site.

· Inventory Management

· Staging Materials

· Unloading equipment/materials

· Build temporary fencing, stair rails, decking platforms, etc.

Qualifications & Experience

Be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints and Schematics.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Prior experience in the Carpentry field required
Position may require a drug screen

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00-$30.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
