Job Description

Job Duties: Tractor(3) and trailer(4) maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting Band saw(3) maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting Forklift(3) maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting plus monthly inspections Sideloader(3) maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting plus monthly inspections Pettibone maintenance and repairs/troubleshooting Conveyor repairs Replace damaged arms(cantilever racks) Sprinkler repairs(landscape) Painting as needed Minor plumbing Repair of banding tools and carts Welding for special projects Check emergency lights Various electrical work/repairs Replace light bulbs Hang posters and signs Many various tasks that pop up. Here are some of the current things on his to-do list that are not included above: Dismantle old saw for parts Dismantle old crane for parts Hang brochure holders on office wall Paint over Tubular Steel name on building Fix fire extinguisher sign at air compressor room Patch drywall in bathroom Fill holes in wall in upstairs storage room Build machine guard on end finisher Replace cracked guard on cold saw Make more trailer stakes Replace damaged air hose reel for air bander Hang new High Voltage signs Build, install and paint new buss bar protection for cranes Make and install sling holders at vee Install spreader beam on north crane Paint box in front of electrical panel Repair Linear Measuring Machine
Parking: Onsite at location.
Tools: No tools required. Must have PPE.

Responsibilities


Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Equipment repair as required following standard safe practices such as lockout-tag-out, confined spaces, fall restraint, etc. This includes all processing and material handling equipment as well as the rolling stock (trailers, and fork-lifts).
  • Facility maintenance as required, to include building and infrastructure (lighting, plumbing, etc) repair and maintenance.
  • Routine preventative maintenance, to include established PM schedules as well as conducting routine maintenance.
  • Safe operation of trade tools such as stick and wire welding equipment, hand and pneumatic tools, etc.
  • Managing the spare parts inventory to assure maximum repair coverage for critical equipment and minimum inventory levels.
  • Managing the maintenance materials supply inventory (e.g. nuts and bolts, hoses, fittings, etc).
  • Manage and direct the installation of new equipment and retrofits of existing equipment as necessary.
  • Follow all documented company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety and operations.

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
