Job Overview
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring Mid-Level Electricians to support a commercial new construction project in Patchogue, NY. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced Journeymen while expanding your skills in a fast-paced jobsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Journeymen: Prepare work areas, stage materials, and maintain clean job sites
- Installation & Wiring: Install electrical conduit, cables, and fixtures; pull wire through conduit
- Maintenance & Repair: Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical layouts
- Tool Handling: Safely use hand and power tools including drills, pliers, and screwdrivers
- Safety Compliance: Follow all National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local safety regulations
Responsibilities

- 2–5+ years of experience in commercial electrical work
- Ability to assist with installs and work independently when needed
- Basic knowledge of NEC codes and jobsite safety practices
- Experience reading blueprints and layouts preferred
- Reliable transportation

- Wire cutters and related tools

- Hi-Vis vest
- Hard hat

The hourly rate for this position is $34-$38/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
