Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking two Journeyman level Pipefittes for four month project in Apex, NC. Job is tentatively set to start July 8th but start date may vary slightly.
Carbon Steel knowledge is preferred.
Will be required to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to fit, solder, and layout piping systems. Previous use of electrical and manual tools required and ability to operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Will be working in a team environment with high safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Cutting, threading, or hammering pipes using various power and hand tools
- Measuring and marking pipes for cutting or threading
- Cutting or boring holes in structures
- Drawing layouts to scale while studying blueprints and following relevant codes
- Troubleshooting problems
- Inspecting, examining, or testing installed systems or pipelines
Qualifications & Experience
- QualificationsQualifications:
- - Minimum three years of experience on commercial construction sites and/or industrial sites
- - Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
- - In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area
- - Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your jobsite
- - References that will verify your professional skills and experience
- - Reliable transportation to and from job site
- - Must have steel toed work boots and all PPE's
- - OSHA-10 Construction Certification preferred, not required
- - Carbon Steel knowledge is preferred, not required
- - Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
The hourly rate for this position is $24.00-$28.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
