Job Description
As a Residential Carpenter’s Helper / Skilled Laborer with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support carpenter contractors in New Canaan, CT. In this full-time, temp-to-perm role, you’ll earn $22–$24/hour, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits, and a flexible schedule.
Position Details:

Hours: Monday–Friday, steady daytime schedule, 8:00 AM start

Key Responsibilities:

Assist carpenters with window and siding installation

Perform site cleanup and general labor tasks

Use basic hand tools to support daily work

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
Responsibilities
Minimum 18 years of age
OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Previous experience in residential or commercial carpentry/construction preferred
Must provide basic hand tools
Tier 3 background check required (National Sex Offender & Felony Conviction screening)
Reliable transportation and punctuality required
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Prior experience using basic hand tools required
The hourly rate for this position is $22-24/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
