Overview

Responsibilities

Rigging setup:

Assembling and installing rigging equipment like cables, slings, chains, pulleys, and winches based on the weight and size of the load. 

Load securing:

Properly attaching loads to the rigging gear, ensuring they are balanced and stable during lifting and movement. 

Crane operation:

Coordinating with crane operators to safely lift and position heavy loads. 

Inspection and maintenance:

Regularly checking rigging equipment for wear and tear, damage, and proper functionality. 

Selecting appropriate gear:

Choosing the correct rigging equipment based on the load weight, size, and working conditions. 

Signal communication:

Using hand signals to effectively communicate with crane operators and other crew members during lifting operations. 

Lifting operations:

Manipulating rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move materials safely. 

Deck maintenance:

Assisting with general deck maintenance and cleaning tasks when not actively engaged in rigging operations. 

Qualifications & Experience

• • Minimum of 3 years of Marine Electrical Experience
• • DBIDS eligible
• • US Citizen
• Knowledge of rigging principles and safety procedures
• Ability to assess load weight and select appropriate rigging gear
• Strong physical strength and endurance
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
