Responsibilities
- Assembling, installing, and connecting pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, drainage, and gas systems.
- Fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, repairing or replacing faulty fixtures like faucets, toilets, and water heaters, and clearing clogged drains.
- Performing preventative maintenance on plumbing systems, such as inspecting and testing for leaks, ensuring proper function of fixtures, and maintaining backflow prevention devices.
- Diagnosing plumbing issues, identifying the cause of problems, and determining the best course of action for repairs.
- Communicating with clients, explaining issues, providing solutions, and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Following all safety regulations and building codes related to plumbing work.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Installing and repairing various types of pipes (copper, PVC, PEX, etc.).
- Working with different plumbing fixtures (toilets, sinks, faucets, water heaters, etc.).
- Utilizing tools like pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, and sewer tapes.
- Reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Responding to emergency calls.
- Potentially working with heating and ventilation systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- - E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S.
- - Minimum 18 years of age.
- - Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites required.
- - In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area.
- - Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems.
- - Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site.
- - California Journey Level License is a plus.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.00-$40.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
