• Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials
• Perform seasonal pruning of roses, fruit trees, and other plants
• Apply organic fertilizers and other approved landscape treatments
• Manage water-efficient smart irrigation systems
• Install and maintain pavers and other landscape features
• Perform light landscape construction
• Safely operate commercial lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and power equipment
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Follow all job-site safety procedures, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and chemicals
• Ensure completed work meets client expectations, contracts, and company quality standards
• Communicate project progress with management
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to homeowners and clients
• Work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when completing assigned projects
Responsibilities
- 18 yrs old min. Valid RIGHT TO WORK documents to work in the U.S.
- 4+years of experience in professional landscape maintenance or related fields preferred
- Previous education in Horticulture or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and practices
- Familiarity with commonly used landscaping hand and power tools
- Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
The hourly rate for this position is $25-$28/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
