As a TDLR Licensed Electrician with PRST, you'll support an electrical contractor on a commercial healthcare facility in Austin, TX. In this role, you’ll earn $25 – $40 an hour, depending on the type of TDLR license held and your experience, enjoy weekly pay, and health insurance benefits. DESCRIPTION:
- Shift: Mon-Fri, 8 hours, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, OT as needed.
- Review blueprints to determine work details and procedures
- Layouts to install large underground PVC duct bank.
- Coordinate and set up large cable pulls and setting manholes.
- Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Install switchgear, distribution panels, transformers, fire alarm and control systems, cable trays, and other electrical gear.
- Maintaining tools, and equipment and keeping parts and supplies in order
- Performing tasks such as installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Following state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
- Must be able to efficiently bend pipe
Responsibilities
PAY:
$25-$40/hr.
- Depending upon experience and TDLR License held:
- Apprentice license $25-$30
- Journeyman license $35-$40
REQUIREMENTS:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• 4 years minimum prior experience in the Commercial electrical field REQUIRED.
• Current/Active TDLR Electrician License REQUIRED. - MUST have the Journeyman card for JM level pay.
• 60ft and above Boom lift experience.
• Ability to bring a minimum of these tools: Wire snips, Wire Strippers, measuring tape, various screw and nut drivers, electrical tape, zip ties, hammer, Electric Drill.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• OSHA-10 Certification is not required, but a plus.
• Position does require a background check.
• Position does require a drug screen.
The hourly rate for this position is $25-$40/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
