Job Description
PRST is looking for a dependable Traveling Traffic Control Technician to support a general commercial contractor on projects from Rufus, OR to the Portland, OR. In this role you will earn $25-$27 an hour DOE. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering steady hours, weekly pay, and travel support.
40-60 hour work weeks, Overtime Potential!
Day Shift Monday–Saturday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM-up to 10 hours daily , up to 6 days a week.

As a Traveling Traffic Control Technician, you’ll assist crews on commercial construction projects performing tasks such as:
- Responsible for setting up the work zone
- Ability to safely drive work trucks with arrow boards, sets up cones, and arranges signs
- Follows blueprint called the Traffic Control plan
- Ensure the site is safe before work starts
- Repair damaged signs and fix road hazards
- Ability to work around the whole work zone to ensure safety equipment is correct
- May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
- Ability to follow instructions
Responsibilities
- Must be 18 years or older with valid Right to Work documentation in the U.S.
- Must have a current unexpired Oregon Department of Transportation TCT card
- On-call and weekend availability
- Travel is required
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License
- Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening (including THC)
The hourly rate for this position is $25 - $27/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
