Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Stick welding
- Weld machinery and equipment to embedded steel plates in the ground
- Prepare metal surfaces before welding
- Measure, align, position, and secure machinery
- Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity
- Use grinders and other metalworking tools as needed
- Follow project drawings, measurements, and supervisor instructions
- Maintain welding equipment and a clean work area
- Follow all welding and jobsite safety procedures
Responsibilities
- Previous professional MIG and Stick welding experience is required
- Experience welding machinery, structural steel, or industrial equipment
- Ability to produce clean and structurally sound welds
- Ability to read measurements and follow layout instructions
- Experience using grinders and standard welding tools
- Reliable transportation to and from the Dayton jobsite
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Ability to pass a hands-on welding test, if required
The hourly rate for this position is $29-$31/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
