Job Description
- Perform welding and fabrication work according to job specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret welding drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
- Prepare, fit, and position materials prior to welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and proper appearance.
- Use grinders and other hand/power tools to prepare and finish welded components.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all facility safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Hours: 50+ hours per week, with additional days, nights, weekends, and overtime often available for those who want them.
Available for all 7 days or only days worked, depending on assignment.
Responsibilities
- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding drawings, and work instructions.
- Ability to set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience using grinders and other hand/power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Must be willing to work 50+ hours per week with potential overtime, weekends, or additional shifts as needed.
- Must provide required PPE, including steel-toed boots, long pants, non-nylon clothing, safety glasses, and hard hat.
- Must have required welding tools, including a weld hood, weld gloves, and grinder.
The hourly rate for this position is $22 - $26/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
