Job Description
Responsibilities
- Fabricate architectural handrails, guardrails, railing systems, and related metal assemblies
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and specifications
- Perform accurate layout work from drawings and field measurements
- Measure, mark, and cut materials to required dimensions
- Cut and prepare tubing, pipe, angle, channel, plate, and other metal components
- Fit and assemble components prior to welding
- Square, level, align, clamp, and position assemblies according to fabrication drawings
- Verify angles, dimensions, spacing, and overall fit-up before welding
- Prepare joints and material surfaces for MIG and TIG welding
- Perform grinding, deburring, beveling, drilling, and general material preparation
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment including tape measures, levels, squares, grinders, saws, and drills
- Tack components in position as required
- Inspect completed fit-ups for dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship
- Coordinate with welders to ensure assemblies are properly prepared for final welding
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Monday through Friday
- Start time: 6:00 AM
- Saturday overtime opportunities available based on project needs
Responsibilities
- Previous experience as a Welder, Metal Fabricator, or related fabrication trade
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals
- Proficient with common fabrication tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to accurately layout, fit, and assemble metal components
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Must provide:
- Welding helmet
- Steel-toed boots
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation
The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $30/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
