Position Overview:
PRST is seeking an Appliance Repair Technician to join our team in the Silver Spring, MD area. In this full-time role, you'll earn $27-$30 per hour (based on experience), enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate will be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential electrical and gas-powered appliances, ensuring the appliances are operating efficiently and safely, while providing top-tier customer service. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair appliance issues using schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Replace worn or defective parts such as switches, bearings, belts, circuit boards, and wiring.
  • Service and repair residential appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves.
  • Perform installation tasks such as leveling appliances, connecting hoses, and wiring water lines.
  • Inspect and test appliance operation, making adjustments as needed after installation or repair.
  • Clean, lubricate, and reassemble appliances after repairs.
  • Provide residents with operation and maintenance instructions for their appliances.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, ensuring proper inventory of parts and tools.
  • Respond to emergency calls, adhering to safety protocols and established procedures.
  • Document repair details, including type, cost, and installed equipment, and complete work orders on-site.
  • Participate in company-provided training to stay updated on appliance repair techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in appliance installation and repair.
  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, safety rules, and operating manuals.
    • Strong troubleshooting, repair, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Possess a valid driver's license 
Able to bring your own tools of the trade
Ability to lift materials and equipment up to 100 pounds.
Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in physically demanding environments.
Work all required days and hours
This opportunity does require a background check and drug test due to location

The hourly rate for this position is $27-$30/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
