Job Description

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for a seasoned Concrete Finisher, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The right candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in commercial construction and be a self-starter. The concrete finisher’s experience will be widespread from forming, pouring, and finishing concrete. Individuals with this knowledge, should be able to pass a criminal background and be well rounded in operating heavy equipment. This position is a year-round working position. Responsibilities

• Forming (sidewalks, curbs, walkways, ped ramps, steps, etc.)

• Pouring concrete

• Finishing concrete

• All aspects of labor

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • -Must have at least 5 years’ experience
  • -Must have reliable transportation
  • -Experience in set-up and finishing of all aspects of concrete work
  • -Knowledge of all concrete finishing tools
  • -Must be able to handle physical labor for construction (kneeling, bending, lifting, involvement in pour, wheelbarrows, lift without restriction and shoveling)
  • -Must be organized and complete work in to meet deadlines
  • -Strong communication skills
  • -Ability to take direction well
  • -Must be reliable and punctual daily
  • -Applicants with a Class A or B Commercial Driver License and experience operating various equipment, including a skid loader, is preferred but not necessary
  • -OSHA Certification is a plus
  • The hourly rate for this position is $30.00-$38.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
