Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is currently seeking a Estimator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with our customer, a reputable waste recycling company involved in both residential and commercial projects. This role offers the chance to join a growing organization and play a key part in preparing accurate, competitive estimates that support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare precise cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on project documents
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and vendors to gather and clarify project details
- Use estimating software to develop and maintain accurate cost proposals
- Review and compare vendor and subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing and compliance
- Support project planning by updating cost data, tracking changes, and helping manage budgets
Responsibilities
- Minimum 2+ years of estimating experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and costs
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
The hourly rate for this position is $up to $35/hr (based on experience)/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
