Job Description
As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. We are looking for someone that has experience in the marine shipyard setting as a HVAC technician preferably, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the trade. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a local service company in the Honolulu, HI area. Travelers considered if willing to relocate to Honolulu permanently.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps
- Install new HVAC systems according to building codes and manufacturer specifications
- Respond to service calls promptly and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Collaborate with clients to explain necessary repairs and provide cost estimates
Qualifications & Experience
- - Experience as a technician in HVAC preferably in the marine shipyard setting or atleast a minimum 5 years in the trade working on commercial/industrial projects
- - Knowledge of HVAC design, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
- - Proficiency in equipment repair and maintenance
- - Ability to work independently in the field service environment
- - Strong understanding of air conditioning systems and plumbing principles
- - Valid driver's license for operating a company van
