Job Description
- Safely operate excavators to trench, excavate, and backfill
- Excavate to required depths and grades for pipe installation
- Support removal of existing drainage pipe
- Work closely with pipe crews and site supervision
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols
- Maintain productivity while ensuring safe operations around personnel and utilities
Responsibilities
- Proven experience operating excavators on civil or utility construction projects
- Ability to read grade stakes and work to specified elevations
- Knowledge of trenching and excavation safety requirements
- Strong awareness of underground utility hazards
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable attendance and transportation
- Storm drainage installation
- Culvert replacement
- Utility trenching
- Heavy civil construction projects
The hourly rate for this position is $30-$45/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
