Job Title: Commercial HVAC Duct Installer
Location: Commercial Job Site
Pay: DOE
Schedule: Full-time (hours may vary by project)
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and motivated HVAC Duct Installers for commercial projects. This role involves installing, assembling, modifying, and repairing duct systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) in a commercial setting. Work will include both rooftop paraffin work and interior installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and secure HVAC ductwork in commercial buildings
- Wrap pipes with insulation and assist with sealing and finishing systems
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal duct systems
- Assist in designing duct layouts using duct calculators when needed
- Deliver duct materials to job sites and stage for installation
- Modify and repair existing duct systems for commercial properties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and metal-working equipment to complete installs
- Prepare, measure, cut, and fit duct materials accurately
- Perform maintenance and replace damaged duct components
- Follow blueprints, layouts, and job specifications
Requirements:
- 4 years experience in commercial HVAC duct installation required
- Ability to use hand tools and sheet metal tools (required)
- Experience with fabrication and installation of duct systems
- Must be comfortable working both indoors and on rooftops
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Reliable transportation to job site
Tools & Equipment:
- Basic hand tools required (tape measure, snips, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Sheet metal tools required
- Additional tools may be required — confirm with site supervisor upon arrival
Safety Requirements:
- Must wear proper PPE at all times on site
- Required PPE includes:
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Safety glasses
- Work gloves
- Steel-toe boots
- Must follow all OSHA safety guidelines and site-specific safety protocols
Work Environment:
- Commercial construction site
- Combination of rooftop and indoor work
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum 4year of experience on commercial, residential or industrial construction sites
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
The hourly rate for this position is $43 - $44/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
