Journeyman Carpenter

Overview

Responsibilities

• Rip off old siding up to 2 layers
• Inspect surfaces work area, renail loose wood, and replace rotten surface
• Replace sheathing where necessary
• Caulk and seal around all windows and doors with OSI quad max sealan
• Use Alside Prodigy D5 Siding Material Practices for instalation,
• Prepare walls with wrap system including tape flashings.
• Cleanup and removal of all job related debris.
• Each job is over-shipped to avoid delays. Remove excess materials and re-stock
• Flash, all horizontal surfaces with high back z metal flashing
• Install 5/4 trim boards around windows & or wrap windows in custom bent metal trim 
• Installation of j-channel and corner trim 
• Have Knowledge and be able to seet up/tear down pump jack system

Qualifications & Experience

• 5 years of finish/rough commercial carpentry experience
• Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
• Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
• OSHA 10 required – PeopleReady will help provide your OSHA training
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite.
• The hourly rate for this position is $32/hr. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
