Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking Journeyman Sheet Metal Installer for Ductwork to support a large commercial project in the Webster area.
Location: Webster, TX 77058
Pay: Journeyman $25-$28/hour
Trade: Sheet Metal Ductwork Installer
Duration: 60+ days
Start: Immediate
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 am start, 40hrs/wk., OT is as needed only, estimated 1-10hrs/wk.

Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Measuring and cutting commercial square, 18-20 gauge, sheet metal for ductwork using power tools.
- Install duct and ensure tight seals at duct connections using sealant, rivets, screws, or other fastening methods, use of duct seal, bolting, creating supportive framework, and working out of a scissor lift.
- Assist in remodel work, removing/replacing/upgrading current duct/insulation in other nearby buildings.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site and follow federal and state guidelines.

Pay rate is $25-$28 per hour
Depending on years of experience
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- OSHA-10Certification REQUIRED
- 4 years verifiable experience installing steel sheet metal for ductwork
- Must be comfortable working out of manlifts and scissor lifts
- Must be comfortable with fabricating 18-20 gauge stainless steel sheet metal ductwork
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position does REQUIRE a drug screen
- Position does REQUIRE a background check
The hourly rate for this position is $25-$28/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
