Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces (drywall, wood, metal) by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming for proper paint adhesion.
  • Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment for precise and efficient results.
  • Operate and maintain spray equipment, including airless paint sprayers, HVLP sprayers, and texture sprayers.
  • Mask and tape surfaces to protect adjacent areas and ensure clean lines.
  • Use scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Follow safety guidelines for the proper storage of paint and disposal of waste materials.

Responsibilities

Requirements:
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of commercial painting experience required.

Skills:
  • Proficiency in cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming surfaces.
  • Skilled in using rollers, brushes, and spray equipment for various coatings and finishes.
  • Understanding of different paints, primers, stains, and protective coatings and their applications.
  • Expertise in operating spray painting equipment and achieving high-quality finishes.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Certifications:
  • Preferred experience with Airless Paint Sprayers, HVLP Sprayers, Electrostatic Paint Sprayers, Gas-Powered Sprayers, and Electric Sprayers.

Screenings:
  • Position requires a drug screening and passing an FBI background check for clearance to the federal site.

Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.


Weather: Ability to work in variable weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, etc.).

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
