Job Description
PRST is hiring a Structural Steel Shop Foreman to lead daily operations in a busy fabrication shop. This role oversees welders, fabricators, grinders, and powder coating technicians, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
We are looking for a hands-on foreman with strong structural steel fabrication experience who can lead a team, coordinate workflow, and maintain high production standards.
What You’ll Do

Lead and supervise structural steel fabricators, welders, grinders, and powder coat technicians

Coordinate daily shop workflow and meet production deadlines

Inspect fabricated steel components for quality and accuracy

Enforce shop safety policies and OSHA standards

Monitor equipment and arrange maintenance or repairs

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop
What We’re Looking For
-
Structural steel fabrication experience required
-
3–5+ years supervisory or foreman experience

Ability to read shop drawings and fabrication blueprints

Knowledge of welding, grinding, and powder coating processes

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work on the shop floor and lift up to 50 lbs

Technical certifications in welding or fabrication

Experience with AISC, AWS, or fabrication standards

The hourly rate for this position is $26 - $36/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
