Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is a specialized division of PeopleReady, a TrueBlue company (NYSE: TBI). Since 1987, we have connected tradespeople and work across a wide range of trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, solar installations and more.
We currently have openings for MIG Welders to perform specific melting methods on materials like structural steel to complete a project. Welders are also in charge of making structural repairs and ensuring the integrity of the welding equipment. They also smooth and polish the metal surfaces once welded together. As this position annually generates more demand than supply, we can say without a hitch that we need your talents.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Testing welding and safety equipment
Cutting, assembling, and repairing building components such as girders and beams
Checking for gap and angle allowances
Read measuring equipment and interpret blueprints
Qualifications & Experience
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior AWS Certification
- Able to pass welding test & experience a MUST
- Physical dexterity to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- HS Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work in various heating conditions
