PeopleReady Skilled Trades (PRST) is seeking a motivated Carpenter for a commercial construction project on Bank Street in New London, CT.
This role involves commercial framing, finish carpentry, stucco work, and construction of a building parapet. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and able to work efficiently in a commercial construction environment.
Job Duties Include:
- Commercial framing and carpentry work
- Finish carpentry installation
- Stucco work
- Constructing building parapets
- Working safely at heights
- Assisting with general commercial construction tasks
- Maintaining job site safety and organization
- Position: Carpenter
- Location: New London, CT 06320
- Pay Rate: $27.00 – $29.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shift: Morning Shift – 8:00 AM Start
- Project Type: Commercial Construction
- Certification: Boom Lift Certification Required or Willing to Obtain
Responsibilities
- Previous commercial carpentry experience required
- Experience with framing and finish carpentry
- Experience with stucco work preferred
- Comfortable working at heights
- Boom lift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
- Must have standard carpenter hand tools
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work Monday–Friday starting at 8:00 AM
- Strong work ethic and dependability

The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 - 29.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
