PeopleReady Skilled Trades (PRST) is seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper / Skilled Laborer for a commercial construction project in New London, CT.
The selected candidate will assist carpenters with framing, finish carpentry, stucco work, and construction of a building parapet. This role requires working at heights and supporting crews in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Job Duties Include:
- Assisting carpenters on-site
- Framing and finish carpentry support
- Stucco and parapet construction assistance
- Material handling and site clean-up
- Working safely at heights
- Assisting with general commercial construction tasks
- Position: Carpenter Helper / Skilled Laborer
- Location: New London, CT
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shift: Morning Shift – 8:00 AM Start
- Project Type: Commercial Construction
- Certification: Boom Lift Certification Required or Willing to Obtain
Responsibilities
- Previous carpentry or construction labor experience preferred
- Experience with framing and finish carpentry a plus
- Comfortable working at heights
- Boom lift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
- Must have basic standard carpenter hand tools
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work Monday–Friday starting at 8:00 AM
- Dependable with strong work ethic
Parking Information:
- Site supervisor will direct parking on the first day
- Please arrive 15 minutes early on your first day

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 - 25.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
