Commercial Carpenter

Overview

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, metal and wallboard in commercial buildings.

Build frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes, according to specifications.

Frame buildings and structures, ensuring they are square, level, and plumb.

Perform demolition work as needed and assist in renovation projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.

Ensure the worksite is clean and organized, removing debris and tools at the end of each workday.

Qualifications & Experience

• Have previous experience working as a carpenter in a commercial construction setting
• Able to read plans and blueprints
• Own carpentry tools and power tools
• Familiarity with construction safety practices
• Can pass a background check and drug screening
• The hourly rate for this position is $26-29/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
