Responsibilities
Hours: Monday - Friday | 8 hour shifts
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Review blueprints and building code specifications to determine work details and procedures
- Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Perform semiskilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code as well as all safety codes
Qualifications & Experience
- Be at least 21+ years of age
- Minimum of 5 years of recent professional commercial electrical work experience
- Must have the ability to use all power and hand tools associated with the trade and perform all tasks with little or no supervision or assistance
- Must have thorough knowledge of electricity and associated circuits and be able to determine the proper material for each job
- Knowledge of standard electrical code requirements
- Ability to work effectively from ladders and scaffolding with due regard to safety for self and others
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Able to work well as part of a team or independently
- Must provide own hand tools
- Must have the ability to assume responsibility and effect repairs/complete tasks without assistance
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, conduit benders
- The hourly rate for this position is $25- $30/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
