Job Description
As Journeyman Electrician with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you’ll support a large electrical contractor in Western MA. In this temporary role, you’ll earn $50/hr, enjoy weekly pay, health insurance benefits and a flexible work schedule. This is a commercial, ground mount solar project where electricians will be expected lift 50+ lbs and must have OSHA-10.

Responsibilities
- Repairing common issues, including ground fault, inverter malfunction/failure, wire damage, blown fuses, and A/C disconnect box failure
- Diagnosing panel and panel connection issues via roof access
- Issuing RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) for improperly functioning materials
- Tracking field progress, including taking pictures and creating brief reports
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules
- Connecting installed solar panels to existing electrical systems and checking electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or integrity of terminations
- Organizing and maintaining system components
- Maintaining documentation of completed installations
- Applying weather sealing to array, building, or support mechanisms
- Completing labor-intensive work in various weather conditions

Qualifications & Experience
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Current/Active Massachusetts Journeyman License
- OSHA- 10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the solar field preferred
