Job Description
People Ready Skilled Trades Is looking for a dedicated, reliable, and professional Rough Carpenter with minimum 3 years expereince. As a Rough Carpenter with PeopleReady Skilled Trades your responsibilities will include but not limited to, knowledge of rough framing, Reframing headers, and Punch-out. Mostly wood framing, but occasionally metal stud framing will be required. This project is located in Near Downtown Charlotte and is a long term project. This project is first shift and has opportunity for Overtime. Responsibilities
- Working with metal and wood framing
- Using hand or electric tools to fabricate, cut, and install framework
- Reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
- Helping place and secure wood during the building process
- Being confident in Rough, framing rough, and concrete framing
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk and climb
- comfortable with heights
Qualifications & Experience
- -Minimum 3 years rough commercial carpentry experience
- -Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud/wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets/counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
- -Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- -Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
- -OSHA 10 preferred but not required
- -Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds in order to load and unload wood and other materials as well as carry needed tools and materials to and from the jobsite
- -Must be comfortable with heights
