Job Description

Responsibilities

Hours: Monday - Saturday 40+ hours

Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall materials according to project specifications.

Install and assemble wooden and other construction components, including framing, doors, windows, flooring, and cabinetry.

Perform structural carpentry work, such as building walls, ceilings, and floors.

Conduct finish carpentry tasks, such as installing trim, moldings, and decorative elements.

Repair and maintain existing structures, ensuring safety and functionality.

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.

Use various hand and power tools with precision and maintain tools in good working condition.

Troubleshoot and find solutions to construction challenges.

Prioritize safety, follow safety protocols, and use protective equipment to prevent accidents.

Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with clients and other professionals.

It may require occasional customer interaction and project progress updates.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Be at least 18+ years of age
  • Proven experience as a carpenter in a construction or related field.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Dedication to safety and the proper use of protective equipment.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
  • Certification or vocational training in carpentry is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prior experience in the commercial field preferred
  • Prior experience using Hand tools and power tools required
  • Position may require a drug screen
