Job Description
- Location: All projects are located on Aquidneck Island, covering Portsmouth, Middletown, and Newport.
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and knowledge of building materials.
- Background Check required (OSHA 10 certification not required).
- Must report to the company shop daily.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead carpenter with finish carpentry, woodwork, and occasional demo and concrete work.
- Read blueprints and help cut, shape, and install structural wood pieces.
- Use woodworking tools safely and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials are ready for daily tasks.
- Inspect and repair damaged work as needed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy worksite at all times.
- Excellent fine motor skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to take direction and work on lengthy residential projects.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate with clients when necessary.
- A desire for long-term employment and growth in the carpentry field.

The hourly rate for this position is $25/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
