Responsibilities
HOURS: 5 X 8's
- Install standing seam metal roofing systems that include membrane materials (e.g., TPO, EPDM, or PVC) to create a weather-resistant barrier.
- Measure, cut, and fit metal panels to the roof structure, ensuring a precise fit for each section
- Secure seams using specialized fasteners, clips, and sealants
- Apply roofing membranes (such as TPO, EPDM, or PVC) over metal panels to enhance water resistance and thermal performance
- Inspect roof structures before installation, ensuring they are in good condition and suitable for membrane roofing
- Read and follow blueprints or project plans to understand layout and material requirements
- Remove old roofing materials when necessary, including existing membranes, shingles, or metal roofs
- Ensure all materials and equipment are on site and ready for installation
- Inspect roofs for signs of wear, leaks, or damage to the membrane and standing seam panels
- Replace or repair damaged roofing sections, ensuring a seamless fit with existing material
- Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning gutters, checking for debris, and resealing seams
- Adhere to safety standards and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents during installation
- Ensure work complies with local building codes and regulations regarding roofing systems
- Use proper techniques to avoid damage to the membrane materials and roof structure
Qualifications & Experience
- Be at least 18+ years of age
- Have at least 2 years of paid / verifiable experience with commercial roofing Proven experience
- in roofing, particularly with metal systems and membrane roofing materials
- Understanding of standing seam roofing systems, membrane types (TPO, EPDM, PVC), and installation techniques
- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions, often at heights
- Precision in measurements, cutting, and fitting roofing panels and membranes
- Knowledge of safety practices and ability to work with safety equipment such as harnesses and scaffolding
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable accommodation
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Understand safety standards and proper use of PPE
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week and overtime if required
- Have basic “tools of the trade” and be able to bring them to work
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Willing to work 40 hours per week, minimum
- Have 2 forms of ID to verify you are eligible to work in the United States
- Complete and pass pre-employment screening (background check & drug screen) if required
- The hourly rate for this position is $22-$28/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
