Responsibilities
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of inboard and outboard engines, diesel and gas engine systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Certifications: Certification in marine mechanics or similar technical certifications preferred (e.g., ABYC, NMEA, or manufacturer-specific certifications).
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools specific to marine mechanics.
Experience with various marine engine brands, including but not limited to Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Yamaha, or Cummins.
Familiarity with marine electronics and navigation equipment.
Experience performing major overhauls on diesel engines or installing new mechanical systems.
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.00-36.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
