- Work Area: Umatilla, Oregon -Portland, Oregon
- Construction specialist is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sites
- Use various equipment, hand, and power tools
- Prepare ground trenches for pipes and utility lines
- Remove, fill, or compact earth
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standards
- Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truck
- Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
- May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
- Ability to follow instructions
Responsibilities
- Must be 18 years or older with valid Right to Work documentation in the U.S.
- On-call and weekend availability
- Travel is required
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation with a valid Driver’s License
- Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening (including THC)
The hourly rate for this position is $20-$25/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
