Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Operating grader equipment safely and efficiently for site preparation, grading, and leveling.
- Assist with set up and utilize lasers to ensure accurate grade control.
- Assist with & perform storm pipe installation, including calculating grades and percentages for pipes.
- Assist with & set grades for boxes, ditches, and other construction elements.
- Work with storm pipe-laying crews when necessary.
- Assist with conduct hub and grade setting and manage groundwater control measures.
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to meet project goals.
- Assist with routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Ability to operate various equipment well is a plus

Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator helper, specifically operating a grader.
- Skills:
- Ability to assist with shooting grades and calculating percentages for pipe and grading tasks.
- Some proficiency with laser equipment for grading and leveling.
- Some knowledge of stormwater control and pipe-laying techniques.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform outdoor tasks in varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Possess a valid certification and minimum five years' experience with heavy construction equipment including Grader
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electronics, electronics, and Department of Transportation regulations
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background, drug test, and entry courses as needed for each site worked
- Ability to work in variable weather (cold, heat, windy, etc.)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
The hourly rate for this position is $17.54 - $25.75/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
