Job Description
- Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers and motor graders, to perform fine grading, leveling, and site preparation with precision.
- Proficiently lay storm drains and handle related equipment setups.
- Utilize GPS rovers to check grades and layout curbs, and understand machine control systems and their functions.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution.
- Set up and operate UTS (Universal Total Station) for layout and grade work.
- Lead small jobs independently and manage large projects in the absence of the superintendent.
- Perform earthmoving tasks, including cutting, shaping, and spreading soil.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, with expertise in fine grading using bulldozers and motor graders.
- Proficiency with GPS, laser grading systems, and other advanced tools for grade control.
- Strong knowledge of storm drain installation and stormwater management.
- Leadership experience or the ability to manage crews and projects independently.
- Commitment to safety and equipment maintenance.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electronics, and DOT regulations (a plus).
Responsibilities
- Minimum of five years' experience operating heavy construction equipment, including bulldozers.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and site-specific entry requirements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.28 - $27.59/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
