Job Description
- Manage shop floor operations, schedules, and staff to meet goals.
- Plan daily work schedules, assigning tasks, and coordinate production sequences based on priorities.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate shift staff.
- Inspect product and equipment for defects and track progress throughout shift.
- Enforce OSHA rules and other safety standards.
- Record daily production, track any downtime, and report to shop manager.
Responsibilities
- Recent previous experience as a supervisor in a shop environment - either industrial or commercial involving fabrication and/or metal work.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with fabrication, welding, rigging, and/or CNC operation.
- Experience leading and managing shop crews.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Ability to lift on average 50lbs throughout shifts.
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb, and otherwise maneuver throughout shifts.
- Work 5-6 days per week - 12 hour shifts (day shift or night shift).
The hourly rate for this position is $$23 - $25/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
