As a Construction Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of all personnel and compliance with safety standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures tailored to project needs.
- Conducting routine safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, and enforce corrective actions.
- Providing safety training and education to employees, subcontractors, and new hires, ensuring everyone is informed of safety protocols.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports, and recommending preventative measures.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance activities.
- Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and ensure a culture of safety awareness.
- Staying current with industry best practices, regulatory updates, and trends to continuously enhance safety programs.
- Competitive hourly pay: $38-$45/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 9 hours per day, with potential weekend work as needed.
- Project duration: January 12, 2026, to January 2027.
- Start time: 5:30 PM daily.
- On-site parking for added convenience.
- Standard hand tools required, provided by the candidate if applicable.
Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety-related certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in a general contracting environment.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Ability to assist with self-performing trade activities of the client
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

The hourly rate for this position is $38 - $45/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
