Responsibilities
Must have shipyard experience.
Must be able to access all Navy installations and other shipyards.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check and drug screen in order to obtain a DBIDs.
Must be able to enter confined spaces, work at heights and in confining or restricted spaces aboard vessels under construction/repair. Physical dexterity must allow for bending, reaching, climbing, crawling, and working on ladders and scaffolding. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to vapors, gases, dust, welding/burning fumes, and smoke.
Must be able to spend up to 90% of time in an outdoor shipyard environment in all climates. The noise level is usually moderate to extremely noisy 90% of the time, which may include sirens, horns, chipping, and hammering.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.00-25.00/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
