Carpenter – Scaffold Builder

Overview

Responsibilities

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 40+ hours

Scaffold builders may need to transport materials to the job site.

Reading blueprints: Scaffold builders need to read blueprints to understand the project's requirements.

Erecting scaffolding: Scaffold builders assemble scaffolding high above the ground, using materials like wood and cement. They may also create different types of platforms, such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops, and temporary roofs.

Installing safety features: Scaffold builders install tubing, toe boards, guard rails, and safety netting to ensure the safety of other construction workers.

Inspecting work: Scaffold builders need to inspect their work for safety issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Be at least 21+ years of age
• Current/Active 5 years experience Form Work, No Form Work, Scaffold Builder
• OSHA-10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Prior experience in the commercial field required
• Prior experience using hand tools required
• Position may require a drug screen
• The hourly rate for this position is $$30 - $40 HR /hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
