Job Description
As an HVAC Superintendent in the commercial construction industry, you will assume a leadership role in overseeing HVAC projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing all on-site aspects of HVAC installations, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion. This role presents an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of challenging and rewarding projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HVAC projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet project objectives and client expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project.
- Ensure that HVAC installations comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing project updates as needed.
- Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily reports, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and controlling costs effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Superintendent in commercial and industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- HVAC-related certifications and licenses a plus.
- A valid driver’s license.
- The hourly rate for this position is as stated above. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
