Site Superintendent

Overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction crews to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and according to plans.
• Coordinate with project managers. to ensure that project requirements are met.
• Interpret construction plans and specifications and communicate them effectively to the construction team.
• Schedule work activities and allocate resources appropriately to ensure that project deadlines are met.
• Monitor job progress and identify any issues or delays that may arise, taking proactive measures to address them.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on the job site.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure that work meets quality standards and specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial construction site superintendent.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on the job site.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to job sites as required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• OSHA certification or willingness to obtain it.
• MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE HEAVY EQUIPMENT (BULLDOZIER, SKID STEER ETC.)
