Construction Spotter

Overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure that workers and equipment are kept safe during construction and maintenance activities
• Collaborate with equipment operators and flaggers to ensure smooth and safe pedestrian & equipment traffic flow on job sites
• Identify potential hazards and report them immediately to supervisors
• Perform safety checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team
• Monitor job site activities and take corrective actions when necessary
• Attend safety meetings and training sessions as per company policies

Qualifications & Experience

• · Be at least 18 years of age
• · Spotter/ Flagger Certification or a willingness to obtain it is a plus
• · Ability to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions
• · Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• · Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
• · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• · Prior experience in spotting and/or flagging is an asset
• · Prior knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
• · Position may require a drug screen
• The hourly rate for this position is $18-$20/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
