Responsibilities
- Operate Asphalt Paver/Roller
- Spraying asphalt, raking and shoveling, material handling, site cleanup
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site.
- Perform asphalt paving rolling in accordance with DOT, local and commercial specifications.
- Ability to perform pre-use inspections on equipment.
- Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists, and work crew.
- Operate roller using specific patterns and forms consistent with top quality paving standards
- Conduct work with proper safety equipment.
- Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs. and navigate job site terrain.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MOST WORK WILL OCCUR IN PARKING LOTS, DRIVEWAYS, AND FILLING ROADS
Qualifications & Experience
- - Some roadworks experience preferred.
- - Asphalt paving experience required; minimum 2-3 years in Construction
- - Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills
