Responsibilities

Hours: 5 X 8's


  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials needed
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and fitting parts together
  • Perform MIG welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, following blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications
  • Ensure welds are strong and meet structural and aesthetic standards in terms of alignment and finish
  • Monitor the quality of work and ensure that all safety standards are met during the welding process
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance, keeping the welding machine clean, and reporting issues as they arise
  • Follow safety protocols including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, welding helmets, and flame-resistant clothing
  • Work with other team members to complete projects in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards at all times

Qualifications & Experience

  • Be at least 18+ years of age
  • 1 or more years of proven experience as a Welder
  • Proficient with welding processes & techniques
  • Competent with reading blueprints, drawings, & diagrams
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable accommodation
  • Have experience as a MIG welder, ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of welding techniques including wire feed, gas flow, and heat settings
  • Have experience using grinders and torches
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail and to inspect work for highest quality
  • Have strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot welding defects and issues
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
  • Understand safety standards and proper use of PPE
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week and overtime if required
  • Have at least 2 years of paid / verifiable experience in a particular trade
  • Have knowledge of all phases of construction for a particular trade
  • Have basic “tools of the trade” and be able to bring them to work
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Willing to work 40 hours per week, minimum
  • Have 2 forms of ID to verify you are eligible to work in the United States
  • Complete and pass pre-employment screening (background check & drug screen) if required
  • The hourly rate for this position is $18 -$20/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
