Convention Worker

Overview

Responsibilities

Hours: Schedule varies day, night, weekends

Set up, operate, and dismantle electrical equipment and systems for conventions, trade shows, or events.

Install and connect lighting, sound systems, video displays, and other electrical components as needed.

Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during events.

Collaborate with event organizers, vendors, and other staff to meet electrical requirements for the event.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment
• Able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
• Must have basic tools: Tape measure (25"), plug tester, slip joint pliers, wire strippers and utility knife.
• The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 p/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.
